C.T Group starts work on retail area in Binh Duong

Vnre.blogspot.comC.T Song Than JSC, a subsidiary of HCMC-based high-end fashion and cosmetics brands distributor and property developer C.T Group, last week commenced construction of a large retail store area as part of its retail and warehouse compound in the southern province of Binh Duong.


The 31 stores measure 125 square meters each and cover a combined 4,000 square meters inside the 7.6-hectare C.T Song Than zone project in Binh Hoa Commune, Thuan An District. Each store has two floors.

The privately held company, which has a commercial building in HCMC Plaza Tan Son Nhat adjacent to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, will put the retail area into operation in the first quarter next year.

The company is calling for retailers to register for space in the area.

C.T Song Than zone has a 72,000-square-meter warehouse, and cold storage, container facilities.

Established in 1992, C.T Group has 36 members active in real estate, financial investment, high-end retail, cuisine and entertainment, education, healthcare, construction, plantation, natural resources, ecological tourism, and import-export. The company is developing many big projects relating to real estate, housing, hotel, department store, new urban town and entertainment in the city.

They include C.T Plaza Kinh Duong Vuong, C.T Plaza Le Van Sy, and C.T Plaza Nguyen Dinh Chieu. The group is cooperating with partners from the U.S. and Malaysia to develop an entertainment area covering 420 hectares in HCMC’s Binh Chanh District.

The group is preparing to list shares of two of its members – C&T International JSC and C.T Retail – on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) next year. It will also list another member in 2012.

The group last month held a conference on investment and cooperation between HCMC and Osaka City in Japan with more than 100 companies in Japan’s Kansai area attending. The conference discussed several business sectors, including corporate finance, banking, real estate, construction, retail, mining, transportation, and agriculture.
